It has been a long week. I was not able to sleep well, eat well, exercise well, or pretty much do anything right at all.
I had food poisoning from a conference I attended on Thursday and missed class that night. Then on Saturday woke up with a migraine and missed class again.
Thus, I did not get weighed in and I did not get to the gym three times. However if I get a doctor’s note I will still be ok. I have a dr appt later this week to discuss why my migraines are increasing and my other medicines ay need adjusting as well….
So then later on Saturday there was a book and cookie sale at the library. Talk about having all of my favorite things in one place. A building with books- 50 cent books mind you, and sugary buttery goodness… The books were fantastic. I bought 10 for myself and 12 for my girls. The cookies were sold by the pound. We ended up with 4… Yes I did say that 4 pounds of Christmas cookies.
Do they no realize that Christmas cookies are like crack to a gal like myself?
I am planning to fast tomorrow to try and get some of this crap out of my body.
I also have a date to run with my friend Ray.
Here is the plan for this week:
Monday: Run with Ray and hit the gym for weights afterward.
Tuesday: Take a class at the gym. (This week’s challenge is to do 3 different classes at the gym. I am hoping to do yoga on Tuesday, Spin on Wednesday, and not sure what y third will be…)
Thursday: Regular biggest loser class at 7:15
Saturday: Regular class at 8:00. (Kevin will be in town, so I am dragging him to the gym with me both days!)
After going to 5 different school districts today, avoiding the tornado watches, getting the girls new books for their plane ride on Thursday… yes Thursday…nice job sperm donor.
Anyway I digress… I made it to the gym to try to swim away this sore sore body of mine.
It didn’t work. But I tried.
2 more days of work… Then off to Texas! Yahoo! I’m making Green bean casserole, what are you making/bringing?
I joined a contest at the gym. It is going to kill me. I am fairly certain… There are several requirements to be eligible for the prize at the end. ($1500 worth of fabulous goodies.) You have to:
a) weigh in once a week
b) turn in your food logs once a week
c) participate in challenges
There was the option of purchasing/renting a body bugg. (Like they wear on the Biggest Loser show.) There was also the option of signing up for 1 or 2 work out classes with a trainer. Max of 10 people in the class so that you receive individualized attention.
I chose to buy 2 classes per week- Thursdays and Saturdays.
It is a 12 week class.
Now here is the thing-My Thursday class was great- felt comfortable with everyone in the class (minus 1 skinny guy who must really just want to watch the chubbies work out…) However my Saturday class was people who don’t need to be in a biggest loser contest. …
I was inspired to begin working out again by 2 people… my friend Brian who did an ironman after he lost over 100 lbs, and Ben from Bendoeslife.com.
Looking forward to getting healthy again!
